Students of RSTU took part in the international video conference
On March 2d, 2012, the representatives of RSTU took part in the second international student scientific and practical conference “Information Technologies in Science, Economics and Education”. It was organized by the partner of our university – University of Economics in Bratislava (the Slovak Republic).
Such big educational institutions as Plekhanov Russian Economic University (Moscow), Stolypin Volga Region Institute Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Saratov), Kazan Institute of Social and Humanitarian Knowledge, Dagestan State Institute of National Economy (Makhachkala), Donbas National Academy of Engineering and Architecture (Makeyevka, the Ukraine) and others became the participants of the conference.
The conference was held in the format of videoconferencing, which let all the participants of the event from different cities of Russia and foreign countries see and hear each other, get acquainted with the reports of the participants and look through presentation materials, hold discussions and ask speakers questions in real-time mode.
It is interesting to note, that the software, which was used during the video conference is one of the best-known instruments for organization of international scientific nets in the world. Particularly, it is used by scientists of different countries for the support of research with the application of the famous Large hadron collider (LHC) of Council of Europe of nuclear research CERN.
Some students of our university presented reports – these are German Liachovich, the third-year student of the department of Automatics, Telemechanics and Communication, and Valeriy Kharchevnikov, a fourth-year student of Power Department. Besides, in the collection of works of the conference five more reports of the students of the department of Automatics, Telemechanics and Communication, who took part in the conference virtually, will be published.
Certainly, all the participants of the conference greatly appreciated a new experience of international cooperation with the use of innovative information technologies which will become an important incentive for extension of scientific and educational connections of our university.
