On June, 5th, 2012 within the frame of the program
of the Russian-Taiwan symposium «Physics and the
mechanics of new materials and sphere of their
application», which has been organised by
Scientific research institute of Mechanics and the
Applied mathematics of the Southern Federal
University, and delegation of participants of the
symposium from Taiwan visited our university.
Our visitors represented National scientific
council of Taiwan, the leading higher educational
institutions of the country, and local authorities.
During their visit the Taiwan delegation got
acquainted with RSTU infrastructure, attended
research laboratories, carried out consultations
with leading scientists and young researchers of
the university.
During the concluding meeting in the conference
hall of our university the rector of RSTU, the
academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences
V.I.Kolesnikov, greeted the Taiwan colleagues and
showed them the basic directions of research work
as well as successful experience of expansion of
international contacts of our university. Also the
parties exchanged opinions concerning the
development of bilateral communications in the
field of educational and scientific cooperation.
Signing of agreements on strategic partnership
between RSTU and universities Kun Shan and Dayeh
in the sphere of education, sciences and cultures
was one of the results of the visit.
