Business visit of RSTU delegation to Austria and France

In the end of March, 2012, the delegation of our university, headed by the rector, the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.I. Kolesnikov, took part in large international forums in Austria and France.

In the capital of Austria RSTU representatives visited a seminar «the European experience of development of system of vocational training: Austrian example». They learned about the advanced international experience in the area of development of the European programs of the academic mobility and introduction of innovative educational technologies on examples of the largest Austrian universities, such as University of Vienna, Vienna University of Technology, University of Graz, the University of Innsbruck, the University of Salzburg and others.

In Paris RSTU representatives took part in the 29th International exhibition of transport and logistics SITL-2012 held in the exhibition centre «Paris Nord Villepinte». They were a part of the Russian delegation which included the heads of transport branch of the country, headed by the minister of transport of Russia I.E. Levitin, representatives of executive and legislature bodies. Activity of our university, which is one of the largest educational and scientific complexes, and, that is significant, dynamics of effective development of international contacts of RSTU deserved a great appreciation from the Russian and French establishment and representatives of large international business.

Our colleagues participated in the session of General assembly of Association «Ex-Russian dialogue» and a formal reception in residence of the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in France, they also consulted with representatives of educational, scientific and public organisations of Russia and France. During negotiations, the Ambassador of Russia in France, A.K. Orlov, and representatives of a diplomatic corps expressed support to our university in the sphere of development of programs of cooperation with the organisations and establishments of France. Besides, V.I.Yakunin, the President of "RZD", plc. and the Co-chairman of Association «Ex-Russian dialogue», in his summing-up mentioned RSTU and its international contacts with the French partners as an example of an effective policy in the field of development and strengthening of the international partnership between Russia and France.

Eventually, our delegation held a number of business meetings with the French colleagues. The meetings concerned the development of joint projects, such as «Two diplomas» with the University of Le Mans (city of Le Mans), programs of the exchange of the faculty and scientists, cultural-educational actions.
