Cooperation with German partners in the field of alternative power engineering

On October, 19th, 2011, RSTU held the meeting of authorities of Power Department and chair «Power system on a railway transportation» with representatives of Russian-German joint venture "Top design" Plc. and company "Rucon Hess and Lammert GbR" (Erfurt, Germany).

Our German partners showed interest in development of some joint projects with our university in the field of scientific research and a transfer of technologies of energy saving, developments of alternative power, introduction of modern educational technologies, including consideration of a question of university equipment by the new labware for students who take up power engineering. Preliminary arrangements were made on the organisation of professional training courses for university experts and industrial practice for students on the basis of the German enterprises which are carrying out manufacture and complex deliveries of power saving equipment.

In the beginning of the next month the parties are going to begin preparation of the complex document. It regulates cooperation in the field of development of alternative power in the frame of the international educational consortium which is represented by our German partners.

Upon termination of negotiations at Power Department our visitors looked around the campus of the university and took part in excursion on RSTU laboratory base.
