Paris Lodron University delegation (Salzburg, Austria) in a RSTU
In the frame of expansion of collaboration between RSTU and Paris Lodron university (Salzburg, Austria) the delegation of employees and students of Paris Lodron university visited RSTU on November, 23-25rd, 2011. The delegation was headed by the chairman of the senate of university, professor Marianne Roth, and it included the co-ordinator of project realisation of the international cooperation, professor Michael Geistlinger. This collobaration had been stated in the agreement between our higher educational establishments, and it was signed in Austria in May this year.
The loaded visit schedule allowed our Austrian partners to meet material and technical basis of RSTU on the first day of their stay in our city, to appreciate the innovative educational and scientific technologies applied in the course of training of students and the future young scientists at our university, and, certainly, to receive the first bright impressions about Southern capital during evening excursion.
The second day of the visit included carrying out of the expanded round table with participation of the university authorities, leading teachers and scientists, representatives of students. There were a number of business consultations about perspective directions of cooperation, and also a fascinating excursion to the capital of the Don Cossacks - Starocherkasskaya village.
In end of their working visit, the delegation of Salzburg university met RSTU rector V.I. Kolesnikov, who is the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, to sign up the total report regulating the development of the basic directions of collaboration with RSTU .
It is in the first half of 2012, when Paris Lodron university is ready to accept leading teachers of RSTU in the frame of academic, methodical and professional training, and also it is ready to carry out lectures and practical classes for students, post-graduate students and teachers of Paris Lodron university. Some of the RSTU staff are going to deliver lectures in Salzburg university.
Besides, universities have come to agreement to develop joint educational programs in the field of jurisprudence and economic specialities for preparation of the projects similar to the program «Two diplomas» which is successfully realised now with University of Le Mans (France).
The total report also has recorded intention of RSTU and Paris Lodron university to develop information interaction by preparation of joint publications in printed and electronic scientific editions, and also discussion of possibility of the organisation of tours of RSTU creative collectives in Salzburg in 2012.
In the general opinion of the parties, the visit became one of the important stimulus for development of close collaboration between our universities and the next step on the way to realisation of various joint educational, scientific and cultural-educational projects.
